Born
in his native country Cuba Mayo was involved in music since
he was infant, Mayo (real name is Mario) studied guitar and
major in classic and flamenco guitar with masters and musicians
like leo brower, ishiro zusuki, victor pellegumi etc. and earned
his prize in the cuban national competition of guitars.
He also studied and performed in italy, switzerland, venezuela
and spain. over 30 years Mayo has also developed certain technique
in Flamenco guitar playing which is unique - blending in romantic
latin flavor in the normally harsh Flamenco guitar tunes that
is gentle to your ears.
Mayo also performs for celebrities like president of the United
States, Hollywood stars , live TV shows and social gatherings;
no doubt his style is for all the occasions.
Mayo has his preferences in teaching : he likes to teach children
because they are like a uncomplicated white page that you can
begin to write from line one and each child would show you its
personality and style right from the first lesson - and they
are all good learners !
Mario is currently giving lessons in miami in groups and to
individuals on demand. There will also be video classes under
the services in the coming months.
